Reiki Energy Healing
BALANCING MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT
Reiki is a technique that allows life force energy to flow through the body. Clearing and cleansing the Chakra systems assists in balancing and harmonizing your energetic flow, increasing the body's natural ability to heal.
This energetic attunement creates a powerful synergistic effect on all levels of mind, body and spirit, allowing the perfect balance of healing energy desired. Reiki sessions have brought forth amazing results to relieve stress and pain, induce relaxation, release emotional blockages, accelerate natural healing, balance subtle bodies energies. It can also allow the release of old emotions such as anger, anxiety, fear, trauma, etc. and assists in achieving a higher level of well-being.
Since Reiki is a form of Quantum Healing, it connects with us through spiritual and energetic levels using the intention of the practitioner to send healing energy and the intention of the client to receive healing. Distant Reiki sessions can be facilitated because the energy is not limited by distance. Distance is only a physical limitation, so sessions can be done without clients being physically present. We are all connected, as we are all energy matter and part of a larger whole. Reiki is a divine intelligent energy which will generally flow to the areas of your body where it is most needed.
The word Chakra comes from an ancient Indian language known as Sanskrit, chakra means vortex, spinning wheel or circle. Chakras are the major centers of spiritual power in the human body and are circles of energy which in balance, store and distribute the energies of life all through our physical body along the subtle body. The subtle body is the non-physical body or otherwise known as our soul or spirit, which overlays our physical body.
If you could imagine chakras as circles of energy, flowing all the way through our body these circles of energy assist in the running of our body, mind and soul. If a chakra is not performing correctly, this could cause our physical health, mental health and our spiritual selves to suffer. Although there are hundreds of chakras in our body I will only introduce the seven major chakras below. These chakras start at the base of the spine and move upwards to the last one at the crown of the head. They coincide with the positions along the spinal cord of the major nerve ganglia in our physical body.
The lesson of this chakra is self-preservation; we have a right to be here. The first chakra is located in the last bond of the spinal cord. This chakra represents the most earth centered chakra. It stands for our inherited beliefs through our formative years. Self-preservation, personal survival and our identification with the physical world centers in this bottom most of the main seven chakras.
When this chakra is balanced, you feel supported, a sense of connection and safety to the physical world, and grounded. If your 0-7 years were challenging and without love, then this may damage the root chakra and it will function much differently. Issues of survival such as emotional dysfunction, stress, anxiousness, and restlessness may trouble you.
Emotional imbalances include; feelings affecting our basic survival needs, money, shelter and food, ability to provide for life’s necessities.
Physical imbalances in the root chakra include problems in the legs, feet, rectum, tailbone, immune system, male reproductive parts and prostate gland. Those with imbalances here are also likely to experience issues of degenerative arthritis, knee pain, sciatica, eating disorders, and constipation.
The lesson of this chakra is to honor others. The second chakra is located near the genital area. The second from the bottom of the seven chakras is about our relationships, creativity, sexuality, control and money.
It’s our time of developing individuality and realizing we are a separate entity from our parents and family. Here we learn about the polarity of opposites, male and female, positive and negative. Relationships with the opposite sex are explored here.
When this chakra is balanced, we have an ability to take risks, we are creative, we are committed. We are passionate, sexual and outgoing.
Blocks in this chakra bring lessons on jealousy, betrayal, control and addictions.
Physical imbalances include sexual and reproductive issues, urinary problems, kidney dysfunctions, hip, pelvic and low back pain.
The lesson of this chakra is self-acceptance. The third chakra is located at the center of the body just above the navel, it is the place where physical energy is distributed. It is the center for unrefined emotions and personal power. It is the center that gives us the sense of complete satisfaction and contentment. Our creativity is fueled by our power of will.
When this chakra is balanced, we feel self-respect and self-compassion. We feel in control, assertive, confident. It is the foundation of the mental body, and it enables us to pick up vibrations and essences from people, places and things, it also involves personal power, energy and self-control, emotional issues and issues of self-acceptance.
Physical imbalances include digestive problems, liver dysfunction, chronic fatigue, high blood pressure, diabetes, stomach ulcers, pancreas and gallbladder issues, colon diseases.
Emotional imbalances include issues of personal power and self-esteem, our inner critic comes out. Fears of rejection, criticism, physical appearances. Being aware of an imbalance of the third chakra is very important because it highlights our understanding of our own inner workings. This allows us to look within and reclaim the balance, our own power, allowing us to move forward with self-confidence.
The lesson of this chakra is “I love”. The fourth chakra is situated in the center of the chest around the area of the heart. It influences forgiveness, compassion, empathy, trust, equilibrium and ease with our life. It helps us to get in touch with nature and connects us to the plant world. This chakra physically influences the lungs, thymus, circulation, the endocrine and immune systems.
When the heart chakra is balanced and in harmony with the lower and upper Chakras, we are able to strike the balance which allows for unconditional love, allowing us to help others. We feel at peace with ourselves and the world around us. It aids in rejuvenation, rebirth, success, growth, prosperity, development and rebirth, bringing balance to all parts of ourselves, in turn this helps us to help others, and we become a humanitarian.
A lack of balance in the fourth chakra can be due to a lack of balance in the first three Chakras. If this chakra is not working properly it can create negative influences in the physical this can be seen in the form of circulatory, lung or heart problems. Problems with this chakra can cause us to become unstable and also emotionally unstable, this can cause us to play the martyr or become obsessed, or to feel, unloved, suspicious and also cause us to repress things.
The lesson of this chakra is to speak up and let your voice be heard. The fifth chakra is situated at the base of the neck in the throat. It influences communication, dreaming, artistic expression, good judgment, self-belief, wisdom, truthfulness, out of body experiences and clairaudience.
When the fifth chakra is balanced, it allows for free communication helping us to feel centered and happy. It also helps us while we are meditating to connect with our higher guidance.
Emotional imbalances include issues of self-expression through communication, both spoken or written. Fear of no power or choice. No willpower or being out of control.
Physical imbalances include thyroid issues, sore throats, laryngitis, TMJ, ear infections, ulcers, any facial problems (chin, cheek, lips, tongue problems) neck and shoulder pain.
THIRD EYE CHAKRA
The lesson of this chakra is to see the big picture. The sixth chakra is situated in the middle of the forehead linking the eyebrows. The third eye chakra influences our capacity to see things that are yet to come into being or clairvoyance, it is the foundation of our psychic powers.
When the sixth chakra is balanced we are able to see auras and spirit guides which help us to look into the past and see into the future. We are able to link into our intuition, imagination, visualize, concentrate, have insight, enlightenment and a finely tuned awareness; it also defines fantasy and reality.
Also, when the third eye chakra is balanced we feel in control of our lives and have the courage to do what we want. We are confident in our own abilities and have no need to look to others to feel whole.
Emotional imbalances include issues with moodiness, volatility, and self-reflection; an inability to look at one’s own fears, and to learn from others. Day-dream often and live in a world with exaggerated imagination.
Physical imbalances include headaches, blurred vision, sinus issues, eyestrain, seizures, hearing loss, and hormone function.
The lesson of this chakra is live mindfully. The seventh chakra is known as the crown chakra and is situated on the top of the head or crown area. The seventh chakra is the foundation of our spiritual body and links us to the highest guidance, the Godsource. It influences spiritual will, inspiration, idealism and celestial knowledge, it is our connection with the universe. This chakra physically influences the cerebral cortex, cerebrum, central nervous system, glands and the pineal gland, pituitary gland and hormones related to them.
When this chakra is balanced, we live in the present moment. We have an unshakeable trust in our inner guidance. When the crown chakra is balanced we are released from ego driven desires, we are able to trust in our highest guidance and know that we are guided in all that we do. When open, this chakra feels as if there is a small amount of pressure, pulling or tugging at the crown of the head. The seventh chakra balance is affected by the balance of the previous six Chakras.
Emotional imbalances include issues with self-knowledge and greater power. Imbalances arise from rigid thoughts on religion and spirituality, constant confusion, carry prejudices, fear of alienation. Physical imbalances include depression, inability to learn, sensitivity to light, sound, and environment.
AURAS - An aura is an energy field that surrounds, penetrates and extends out beyond the physical body that is electromagnetic, electric and magnetic and is made up of varying types of live and intelligent vibrations or frequencies. An aura surrounds not only every living thing including humans, animals and plants, but also every inanimate thing such as rocks, all objects made by man, and the earth, sun, moon, and all planets in our Universe. The human aura has layers of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual elements. Auras contain all the primary colors of the rainbow at any given time and change color depending on the emotion an individual is experiencing. Our auras are made up of many colors and many shades of colors that are constantly changing. This reflects the constant change in our thoughts and emotions.
Happy and loving thoughts expand your aura while sad or angry thoughts contract your aura. Aura sizes can adjust depending on the density of the population where you live.
Holes in the auras can be caused by any of the following issues; emotions that have not been felt and released; negative thought forms from others; entities or spirits lodged in our auras or chakras; chemical, metal and atomic toxins; other types of poisons or toxins; drug and alcohol use; past life memories or experiences.
Negative energy can easily flip from one individual's aura into your aura. Energy is alive, moves around, and you can eventually become quite affected by the negative energy of those around you, in your homes, offices or stores. Past lives can also play a major role in the health of our energy systems. You can touch one of your past lives through meditation or hypnosis. Past lives lodged in your auras can provide you with deep insight into your soul purpose or core purpose for this life.
Setting energetic personal boundaries is important to maintain your energy and not allow your energy to be affected or other energies to meld into your aura. Also, you can see how chakra alignment through Reiki is key to balance and harmony within the body as the chakras have a major affect on all areas of the body.
